Unions for NCAA athletes?

Yesterday, the NCLB paved the way for Northwestern University’s student athletes to form a union. Two main issues seem to be at stake: medical and financial. While the NCAA already has several safety rules in place, it’s possible that these are not being followed appropriately. Financially, student athletes make millions for their schools and can be compensated with athletic scholarships. Do you think this is the beginning of a nationwide trend to unionize student athletes?
